Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we do with it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Lanternmark runs a small, public-facing website to introduce our coordinators and route serious inquiries to a real person. This page explains exactly what we collect through that site — through our contact form, through the advertising pixels we run, and through the cookies those pixels set — and the path to ask us to delete what we have.

1. Information we collect

This website collects personal information only through the forms you choose to submit. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, payment card numbers, or financial account credentials on this site. Paid engagements are billed separately through Stripe, a third-party payment processor, and only when an engagement is signed — Stripe collects its own data under its own privacy notice, not ours.

General contact form (used across most pages): we collect your name, email address, and the message you write. Submissions are retained in our coordinator inbox and used only to respond to your inquiry.

Intake form (only on the /contact page): in addition to the fields above, we collect your audience (family or professional), your situation and urgency, and your phone number so a coordinator can call back. An optional message is included when you write one. We do not collect geolocation, contacts, or device identifiers beyond what the advertising pixel section below describes.

2. Meta Pixel & advertising

This site uses the Meta Pixel (id 1253102886890578), a first-party JavaScript snippet loaded from our own HTML. The pixel lets us measure advertising performance and build retargeting audiences in Meta's Ads Manager. Specifically, the pixel does the following on this site:

  • Fires a PageView event on every page load so we can attribute visits to ad campaigns.
  • Fires a Lead event when you successfully submit a signup form.
  • Fires a Purchaseevent (with the order value and currency) when a paid engagement's checkout completes.

Purpose: ad measurement (which campaign actually brought a visitor), retargeting (showing future Lanternmarkads to recent visitors on Meta's platforms), and conversion tracking (whether a visit turned into a signup or a paid engagement). Meta may use the events it receives under its own Data Policy. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences.

3. Cookies & similar technologies

The Meta Pixel sets and reads first-party cookies (such as _fbp) in your browser to identify the same visitor across pages of this site and to deliver the measurement and retargeting above. The platform that hosts this site also sets a short-lived visitor-identification cookie used to count unique visits.

We additionally use localStorage to store a stable visitor identifier (polsia_vid) and to remember your light/dark theme preference across visits. Neither value is shared with us directly; the identifier stays in your browser.

We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies beyond the Meta Pixel. If we add new ones, this page will be updated before they ship.

4. Your rights & data deletion requests

You can ask us at any time to (a) confirm what personal information we hold about you, (b) correct it, or (c) delete it. Deletion requests go to the same coordinator inbox that handles general inquiries — use the /contact page and put "Data deletion request" in the subject/message so it routes to the right desk. We acknowledge requests within five business days and complete deletions within thirty days.

Data that has already been shared with Meta through the pixel (such as a page-view event tied to your browser) is governed by Meta's own Data Policy and retention windows; we will direct you to Meta's tools for that portion of the request. Stripe payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy notice and is held under our account there, not in our form database.

5. Effective date

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-08-15. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
